⚖️ DOU - Governance

If you want to advance the organization's journey together with everyone, then come to the Governance System!

By staking tokens to obtain Governance Votes, you can participate in every step of the organization's development. Your voice is incredibly important, and every vote you cast will profoundly impact the organization's life cycle.

1. How is the Council Formed?

From the organization's inception, members can participate in the first Council. After the organization graduates to Pancake, the election voting for the Council will automatically begin.

The Council is responsible for task proposals and plays a vital role in the organization's development. Therefore, Boing has established a set of game-theoretic rules to incentivize elected Council members to act in the organization's best interest.

  • Term of One Month: Each Council's term is one month. Submission of proposals for the new election will automatically open 7 days before the term ends. Voting for the new Council election will automatically open 3 days before the term ends. If no one runs for election or no election proposal receives votes, the current Council will temporarily continue to serve until a new Council is formed.

2. Initiating a Proposal

Although the Council members are the ones who ultimately have the right to make proposals, in Boing, everyone is important! As long as you have an idea, you can contact the Council. After the Council creates a proposal and it is passed by a token holder vote, the proposal will be adopted.

3. Token Holder Voting

After being reviewed and approved by the Council, the proposal will enter a community-wide voting stage.

If you want to participate in decision-making, you simply need to obtain Governance Votes by staking tokens. Please cast your valuable Governance Votes to influence the future of the organization!

  • Dynamic Voting Threshold To ensure that the treasury's funds are used in line with the community's expectations, the larger the funding scale of a proposal, the more Governance Votes will be required for it to pass, and the longer the voting period will be.

  • Proposal Passing Conditions A proposal must meet the following two conditions simultaneously to be passed:

    • Quorum: The number of "Yes" votes ≥ the minimum passing threshold (the minimum number of Governance Votes required for this proposal to pass).

    • Majority: The number of "Yes" votes > the number of "No" votes.
